Lysine prices remain soft in China as buyers withhold buying

Lysine prices were unchanged during the week ending April 17.

A handful of producers were tempted to lift prices while supplies of lysine shrank amid reduced production. However, demand for hog feed and hence lysine remained soft as hog farmers were incurring losses.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine stayed around RMB8.80/kg.
