Russian companies to build cattle-breeding farms in Bashkiria, Russia
Several cattle-breeding farms in Bashkiria, Russia have been intended to be built by a group of Russian companies specialising in the newest and ecologically clean technologies.
In total complexity investors are ready to erect four cattle-breeding centres in different regions of the Republic and the total sum of expected investments is estimated at RUB3 billion (US$102 million).
"Originally we wanted to start working in Tver and Ulyanovsk regions but after we had paid a visit to Bashkortostan, we changed our plans" - representatives of the investing companies told - "the ombudsman for protection of rights and interests of business circles in federal executive power bodies under the business organisation "The Support of Russia" Svetlana Khalfina organised this visit to your Republic. The absence of administrative obstacles, availability of agricultural lands in necessary volumes and comfortable investment climate were the main criteria for us. The approach of your officials gladdened us - they promised lands, tax benefits and subsidies, so we decided to build the farms in Bashkortostan".
In opinion of Svetlana Khalfina "development of agriculture is considered top priority and strategic direction in development of the country. At present time there are more than 80 million hectares of pastures and fallow lands in Russia but the major part of these lands lay abandoned".
