Ukraine's Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt aims to gather 1.2 million tonnes grain
Ukraine's Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt plans to harvest 1.24 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops this year.
The company announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
"In 2012, the gross harvest of grains and legumes will total 1.24 million tonnes while the gross harvest of oilseeds and commercial crops will total 0.165 million tonnes," Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt's First Deputy Board Chairman Yurii Melnyk is quoted as saying in the statement.
According to the company's forecasts, the crop yields in 2012 will be six tonnes per hectare of winter wheat, three tonnes per hectare of winter rapeseed, eight tonnes per hectare of corn, three tonnes per hectare of sunflower, and 2.2 tonnes per hectare of soy.
Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt's plans for the planting of spring crops remain without significant changes. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt harvested 1.713 million tonnes of grain in 2011.
Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt reported a net profit of US$259 million for the year 2011, when its revenues increased by US$285 million or 30.2% to US$1.229 million compared with 2010.
Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt is a vertically integrated open joint-stock company consisting of enterprises producing chicken, incubation eggs, and fodder, as well as enterprises breeding cattle. It produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko trademark, beef delicacies under the Certified Angus trademark, and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.
