Ukarine's Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt increases Q1 poultry meat sales by 1.6%

 

 

Kyiv-based Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt has reported an increase in the sales of chicken meat by 1.6% (1,300 tonnes) to 84,300 tonnes, compared to the first quarter of 2010.

 

The company said that all its production facilities in January-March 2011 were fully loaded, and consumer demand for chicken was high during the whole period.

 

Average prices for chicken in the first quarter were UAH12.83/kg (US$1.61) (less VAT) and in the first quarter of 2010, the price was UAH12.38/kg (US$1.55) (less VAT).

 

Over the period under review, prime cost of meat production rose in the light of higher prices for crops and utility services.

 

Apart from poultry meat, in the first quarter, the Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt company exported 45,900 tonnes sunflower oil at average price of UAH1,306 (US$164) per tonne.
