Flat demand holds down China methionine prices
Prices of methionine were unchanged during the week ending April 18.
Poultry feed producers were cautious as the sales of chicken products were slow while the egg market remained soft. Nonetheless, despite flat demand and ample availability, methionine producers were reluctant to lower prices, which have fallen to new record lows.
For liquid methionine, price quotes were at RMB18.50-19/kg.
