NutraCea and ADM team up on rice bran

Rice bran firm NutraCea and ADM Rice, an operating division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, has entered into an agreement on rice stabilisation technology. 

This agreement will have the Arizona-based NutraCea implement its rice stabilisation program  into the ADM Rice facility located in Arbuckle, California to produce stabilized rice bran (SRB) for distribution into the human, companion pet and equine feed markets.

Brad Edson, President and CEO of NutraCea said the joint venture will increase the company's production while still maintaining product integrity of the finished SRB. Nutracea chief operating officer Leo Gingras stated the new stabilised rice bran production facilities are expected to be operational by the end of June 2007.
