More than two million tonnes of Australian wheat and durum exported in February

 
 


Australia exported 2,311,024 tonnes of wheat and durum in total in February, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.


The figure is down 12% from the 2,620,100 tonnes shipped in January and a 24% drop from the 3,038,779 tonnes delivered in February 2023.


For containerised exports in February 2024, exports to Indonesia was 62,418 tonnes, followed by Thailand (32,733 tonnes) and China (24,626 tonnes).


For bulk exports, exports to China was 564,263 tonnes,  along with Indonesia at 482,137 tonnes, South Korea at 145,255 tonnes and the Philippines at 144,268 tonnes.


Australian durum exports to Algeria contributed 92,350 tonnes to the February total in the first bulk exports since October 2023.
