Alltech Brazil awarded EcoVadis Gold Medal

Alltech Brazil was awarded a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, achieving an overall score of 84/100 and placing it in the 98th percentile of companies globally, across all industries.

Notably, Alltech was also the first unit to have 100/100 in all the following environmental indicators: policies, endorsement, measures and certifications. Medals are awarded based on percentile ranking against all companies assessed over the previous 12 months.

EcoVadis is a globally recognised sustainability rating platform that evaluates companies across four key pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessment goes beyond policies, requiring robust evidence of implementation, measurable results, and continuous improvement across operations. A strong EcoVadis assessment ensures that a company is recognised by customers, partners, industries and government entities as being truly dedicated to advancing environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles in its operations.

The competitive landscape this year was particularly demanding. Companies assessed in the current 12-month cycle achieved higher average results than in prior years, making percentile positioning more challenging and this achievement even more meaningful.

"For Alltech Brazil, achieving the Gold Medal demonstrates that it is possible to combine scale and sustainability," said Paulo Rigolin, Alltech's vice president for Latin America. "The agri-food sector is increasingly guided by strategies rooted in social responsibility, efficiency and climate resilience — and we are fully part of this context."

According to Rigolin, environmental certification is gaining importance due to the relevance and innovation that characterise Brazilian agri-business.

"Alltech has been in operation in Brazil since 1993 and represents the company's third-largest market. It is home to one of the world's largest fermentation facilities for animal nutrition, located in the municipality of São Pedro do Ivaí (PR)," he emphasised.

This medal, and others that have been awarded to Alltech, are a testament to the company's purpose of Working Together for a Planet of Plenty® and its commitment to implementing environmentally and economically sustainable solutions, fostering ethical business conduct, and prioritising the efficient production of nutritious food, Alltech said.

The EcoVadis process validates Alltech's sustainability performance and offers a clear roadmap for enhancing its impact.

Alltech shares its annual progress in the Alltech Sustainability Report, which outlines actions taken to align the business with its commitments to the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Ten Principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
