China methionine prices stay flat on subdued demand
Prices of methionine remained soft during the week ending April 16.
Demand for poultry feed was soft as AA broiler faming incurred losses while the profits margins of layer faming were greatly slashed during March due to tumbling egg prices.
For liquid methionine, price quotes were stable to higher at RMB16.50-17/kg.
Prices are projected to stay around current levels amid slow sales in the near term.
