China's Shanghai to build largest aqua market

Shanghai Bangfu Industry Company and Shenzhen Longfeng Trading Company invested a total of RMB1 billion (US$153 million) to construct the largest aquatic wholesale market in Shanghai.

The seafood market is twice the size of the existing Shanghai Tongchuan Aquatic Product Market.

Shanghai's new market can accommodate 6,000 aquatic product companies and is divided into fresh and frozen seafood sections.

Around 4,000 Chinese companies have signed to set up shops in the market.
