First automated poultry slaughterhouse in Al-Bayda, Jabal al-Akhdar, Libya, inauguated

The first integrated automated poultry slaughterhouse in Al-Bayda, Jabal al-Akhdar, Libya, has been inaugurated by Professor Saleh Boumbarka, Director of Animal Resources for Al-Bayda municipality, Green Mountain.
Boumbarka affirmed this project marks a qualitative leap in animal production. It aligns with the department's plans. These plans modernise vital facilities. This ensures compliance with global health standards.
Boumbarka stated that the new slaughterhouse has a superior production capacity. It can slaughter and process 2,000 chickens per hour. This directly meets increasing local market demands. It ensures high-quality products. These products undergo strict health and veterinary supervision. This applies across all operational stages.
The director explained that modern automated technologies are key. They reduce human intervention. This guarantees maximum food safety. Technical staff from the department directly supervise the slaughterhouse. They verify weight compliance. They also check health requirements. This happens before products reach consumers.
Boumbarka stressed this automated slaughterhouse is a strategic step. It will regulate the poultry market. It will also reduce production costs. He believes bolstering the sector's infrastructure will stabilise prices. It will also counter recent market fluctuations.
