China, Indonesia and Egypt approve more imports of Brazil meat and fish

Brazil's Agriculture Ministry said Egypt has approved imports from 42 meat plants, while China and Indonesia also boosted import numbers for fish and beef respectively, reported Reuters.

From the 42 meat plans approved for export to Egypt, 27 are chicken plants while the remaining were beef plants.

The Agriculture Ministry also noted that China added more approved fish sellers from Brazil, the first time the list was updated since 2015. There are now 108 total fish sellers from Brazil approved for export to China.

Meanwhile, Indonesia increased its import quota for beef from Brazil to 20,000 tonnes.
