Russian intervention fund sells 114,000-tonne grains
At the auction with the participation of 192 firms, Russia's public intervention fund exposed 147,327 tonnes of grains of the harvests in 2005, 2008 and 2009.
During the exchange sessions the public intervention fund sold 114.127 tonnes of grains at the sum of RUB580.775 million (US$19.6 million), including: 2.16 thsd tonnes of grains of the harvest-2005 at the sum of RUB11.941 million (US$0.4 million); and 111.967 thsd tonnes of grains of the harvest-2008 at the sum of RUB568.834 million (US$19.23 million).
Sixty-three organisations became the winners of exchange stock trades, with which OJSC United Grain Company will conclude sales contracts.
Since the beginning of the public interventions trades in 2012, the state intervention fund sold 346.388 thsd tonnes of grains at the stock exchange sales at the general sum of RUB1.793 billion (US$0.06 billion). As of April 11, 2012, 203 organisations were accredited to participate in the public commodity interventions.
