Cherkizovo announces operating results for first quarter of 2021

 

 

Cherkizovo Group has announced on April 12 operating results for March and the first quarter of 2021. 

 

The first quarter of 2021 highlights are as followed:

 

- Chicken sales volume was 169.3 thousand tonnes, a 3% drop year-on-year. Sales volumes of Cherkizovo's premium brand Petelinka was in line with the results of the previous year, while volumes of Chicken Kingdom products increased 3% year-on-year. Average sales price increased by 22% year-on-year, on higher share of branded, value-added products and foodservice sales recovery.

 

- Cherkizovo's live pork production volumes were 61.9 thousand tonnes, a 20% drop year-on-year. The company said it had cut sales of live pork by the end of the first quarter. Furthermore, sales of pork carcass declined by 32% year-on-year with sales prices up 24% year-on-year and sales of pork cuts increasing by 15% year-on-year to 8.1 thousand tonnes with average selling price up by 7% year-on-year.

 

- As for RTE meat processing, Cherkizovo's sales volume increased by 4% year-on-year and amounted to 26.3 thousand tonnes, while average sales price of the segment increased by 5% year-on-year.
