Ukraine's early April grain exports reach 555,000 tonnes

 

 

In the first eight days of this month, the grain exports from Ukraine's ports were 555,000 tonnes, UkrAgroConsult said.

 

Corn shipments were 265,000 tonnes to Egypt, Tunisia and Spain, the company said in e-mailed statement today. Wheat exports were 204,000 tonnes to Egypt, Vietnam and Israel, it said. Some 78,000 tonnes of barley were also shipped.

 

Another 1.06 million tonnes of grain are expected to be shipped soon, according to Kiev-based UkrAgroConsult. That includes 852,000 tonnes of corn, 155,000 tonnes of wheat and 48,000 tonnes of barley, it said.
