PT Sierad Produce seeks capacity boost

PT Sierad Produce, an Indonesian poultry farm and animal feed company, is building more breeding farms and hatchery facilities this year in the country's Lebak, Banten province.

The company is also building poultry slaughtering house in Mojokerto, East Java, commercial farms and other supporting facilities in Balaraja, Banten an in Sidoajo, East Java.

The company will set aside IDR800 billion (US$92.8 million) for the construction of the projects already in progress since the last quarter of 2010, its corporate secretary Elies Lestari said.

Last year, PT Sierad Produce recorded IDR3.6 trillion (US$415.82 million) in net income in 2010, up 12.5% from the year before.
