8,000 culled chickens in China's Shenzhen did not have bird flu

 

 

After 203 chickens at a farm in Shenzhen died mysteriously, 8,000 more were slaughtered as a precaution against the bird flu.

 

The Hong Kong government has investigated the reports and said the chickens had not been infected with avian influenza but had respiratory tract disease instead.
