Cherkiozovo CEO awarded for supporting residents in Moscow Region, Russia

The Governor of the Moscow Region, Russia, has awarded Cherkizovo Group CEO Sergey Mikhailov the Sign of St Sergius of Radonezh, an honour in recognition of the work Cherkizovo provided to help the region's residents during the pandemic.

In that period, Cherkizovo provided food aid to healthcare workers and underprivileged residents. It also delivered food parcels containing sausage products to doctors across Moscow Region.

"The Moscow Region is, and will remain, one of the most important areas of operations for Cherkizovo Group, so we always try to devote ourselves to social projects in the region," said Mikhailov. "Last year, given the prevailing situation, fighting the pandemic proved to be the defining feature of our charity work. I am very glad we were able to help the doctors and residents of the Moscow Region in this difficult time and am very grateful to (Governor of the Moscow Region) Andrey Vorobyov for recognising our efforts."
