Aller Aqua completes second Aquaculture without Frontiers project for Nigerian fish farmers

The Nigeria team of fish feed producer Aller Aqua has completed a second Aquaculture without Frontiers (AwF) social project for fish farmers in the country last year.

AwF's grant funds and its partnership with Aller Aqua Nigeria have enabled a viable project for small farmers in Nigeria, according to Aller Aqua. Through the project, local small-scale farmers are empowered and sustainable aquaculture businesses are promoted.

The project is based on a model for assisting smallholder farmers by providing healthy and high-quality fish feeds. This strategy helps local farmers not only increase their production capacity but also develop a profitable and sustainable fish farming business.

Working from the ground up with the model ensures that farmers can quickly transfer management techniques they've learned to other farmers in their rural farming communities.

''We understand that local farmers want to steadily expand their farming operations," said Dada Mofoluso, marketing coordinator of Aller Aqua Africa. "They have faith in us to become their partners in providing support and practical solutions to help them achieve their objectives. In this project, as in many others, we demonstrate that we will be with them throughout the journey."
