US association refutes claims of mRNA vaccines licensed for use in beef cattle

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) in the United States released a statement on April 6 in regard to false information circulating on social media about the use of mRNA vaccines in cattle.

"There are no current mRNA vaccines licensed for use in beef cattle in the United States," the association said.

"Cattle farmers and ranchers do vaccinate cattle to treat and prevent many diseases, but presently, none of these vaccines include mRNA technology."

NCBA has represented US cattle producers since 1898, preserving the heritage and strength of the industry through education and public policy.

As the largest association of cattle producers, NCBA works to create new markets and increase demand for beef.
