Argentina's soybean production expected to reach nearly 40 million tonnes in 2021/22
Argentina is expecting to produce close to 40 million tonnes of soybeans in the 2021/22 season.
365 million tonnes of soybeans could be processed, taking into consideration soybean imports from neighbouring countries.
Argentina's crushing plants are heavily concentrated in the Greater Rosario area, which accounts for nearly 80% of the country's total, making this region the most important oilseed industrial complex worldwide.
It is estimated that 86% of soybeans will enter by truck and 13% by railroad, with the remaining 1% by barge through the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway.
It is also expected that 900,000 trucks transporting soybeans will unload in the Greater Rosario area, which would total 27 million tonnes.
