Lacklustre demand holds down China methionine prices
Prices of methionine stayed flat during the week ending April 9.
Feed producers were not motivated to increase inventories of methionine while usages were slow with poultry feed sales slow.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB20-20.50/kg.
Although methionine producers are tempted to lift prices, lacklustre demand for the product will weigh on prices.
