Godrej Tyson Foods launch new ready-to-cook foods
Mumbai-based Godrej Tyson Foods, which is the joint venture between Indian company Godrej Agrovet and US meat processor Tyson Foods Inc., is launching new ready-to-cook foods.
The company is launching new ready-to-cook foods for India's middle-class families and also entering the ready-to-eat foods category, reports state. According to Godrej, the new ready-to-cook items are targeted at working couples who don't have time to cook.
At the moment, the joint venture has two poultry brands - Yummiez, a frozen food brand, and Real Good Chicken, a retail-fresh brand.
Godrej-Tyson chief executive officer Sadiq Malik said the company is planning to launch products in the ready-to-cook category, adding that it is growing at 25 percent annually.
