Charoen Pokphand to invest in Indian feed mills
Thailand-based Charoen Pokphand Foods announced to invest THB600 million (US$18.9 million) in India to nearly double its output to 300,000 tonnes a year.
The expansion will allow the company to increase its poultry production to 1.2 million chickens a week from 700,000 The Nation reported.
The Charoen Pokphand Group is the largest business conglomerate in Thailand with its chief subsidiary, Charoen Pokphand Foods, which gained THB116.5 billion (US$3.7 billion) in 2005.
