Cherkizovo Russia's top feed producer

 

Cherkizovo Group has been declared Russsia's No. 1 feed producer in 2015, having an output of 1,495,000 tonnes of feed, outgunning the second- and third-ranked companies by 150,000 and 200,000 tonnes, respectively.

The ranking was disclosed by Agroinvestor magazine after conducting market research on the top 15 Russian feed producers of 2015.

Cherkizovo's feed production grew by 9.4% in 2015, driven by the opening of the Voronezh Feed Mill, one of the biggest in Russia with a capacity of 500,000 tonnes.

At present, the company operates nine feed mills with total production capacity of 2,530,000 tonnes and is fully self-sufficient, covering the needs of its poultry and pork segments.

Cherkizovo plans to produce 1,673,000 tonnes of feed this year once its manufacturing sites in the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions start operating at full capacity.
