India sees 32% drop in oilmeal exports during Mar 2013

 

 

India's oilmeal exports are reported at 430,407 tonnes during March 2013, a drop of 32% compared to 628,337 tonnes in March 2012.

 

During April 2012 to March 2013, the total export of oilmeals has reduced by 13% to 4,846,013 tonnes as compared to 5,599,098 tonnes during the same period of previous year.

 

Oilmeal exports to South Korea are reported at 907,082 tonnes during April 2012 to March, 2013, compared to 836,223 tonnes in 2012. The exports consist 203,568 tonnes of soybean meal, 380,611 tonnes of rapeseed meal and 322,903 tonnes of castor meal.

 

Vietnam, another major market, imported 699,791 tonnes (compared to 920,708 tonnes last year), consisting 418,042 tonne of soybean meal, 45,718 tonnes of rapeseed meal, 2,329 tonnes of groundnut meal, 502 tonnes of castor meal and entire quantity of 233,200 tonnes of rice bran extraction. Japan imported 638,201 tonness (compared to 1,292,962 tonnes last year), consisting 637,509 tonnes of soybean meal, 593 tonnes of rapeseed meal and 99 tonnes of castor meal.

 

Thailand imported of 450,360 tonnes (compared to 523,285 tonnes last year) consisting 334,894 tonnes of soybean meal, 115,377 tonnes of rapeseed meal and 89 tonnes of castor meal.

 

Indonesia imported 201,999 tonnes (compared to 312,757 tonnes last year) consisting 101,631 tonnes of soybean meal, 100,331 tonnes of rapeseed meal and 307 tonnes of groundnut meal. Iran imported of 886,776 tonnes (compared to 230,760 tonnes last year), consisting 870,776 tonnes of soybean meal and 16,000 tonnes of rapeseed meal. Europe and others have imported 493,966 tonnes compared to 386,107 tonnes last year.

 

The export from Kandla is reported at 2,892,136 tonnes (60%), followed by Mumbai at 677,117 tonnes (14%). Mundra handled 412,821 tonnes (9%), Bedi at 417,781 tonnes (9%) ,Kolkata at 233,200 tonnes (5%), Hazira, a new port, at 162,571 tonnes (3%) and Vizag at 15,193 tonnes (0.3%).
