Hypor signs deal with Polish company to supply breeding stock
Pig breeding and genetics company Hypor has signed an agreement with the family-owned Farmers Sp.zoo, a Polish agricultural company, located in Goldap in the North East of Poland.
The new partnership will produce and distribute breeding stock in to the Polish market.
The new 700-sow unit was completed at the end of 2007, and stock was delivered from the Hypor nucleus farms in Germany. Plans are already underway for another farm located in the same area. It too will have a capacity of 700 sows and will produce Hypor PS gilts.
Both farms will maintain a very high health status and are located in a low pig density area, the company said.
Hypor's Regional Manager Mr. Ton ten Dam said Hypor's breeding knowledge and local expertise would help further develop the pig market.
Hypor, part of the Hendrix Genetics, terms itself 'the World's local pig breeder.
