China can buy up to 6m tonnes of US corn

China has the potential to import up to 6 million tonnes of US corn. This was revealed during a meeting of US Grains Council officials and USDA and Foreign Agricultural Service staff stationed in China.

The projection came after the a study on China's trade, corn production, supply and demand and current biotechnology. Beijing has also expressed interest in expanding its livestock and dairy industries.
