Ukraine grain imports up 41% to 15,930 tonnes

 

 

In February this year, Ukrainian grain imports increased by 41% or 4,630 tonnes, up from last year to 4,630 tonnes for US$15.93 million.

 

In February, the companies mainly imported corn (7,530 tonnes or 47.83% of the total grain imports).

 

Grain imports grew by 10,460 tonnes in February 2011 against January 2011.

 

In January-February 2011, as compared with January-February 2010, grain imports increased by 21.1% or 3,730 tonnes to 21,400 tonnes for US$44.52 million.

 

In January 2011, grain imports shrank by 14.1% or 900 tonnes, compared to January 2010, to 5,470 tonnes for US$13.50 million.

 

In 2010, compared with 2009, grain imports increased by 9.2% or 8,810 tonnes and made up 104,890 tonnes for US$143.69 million.
