Ukraine's Koziatyn Poultry Farm aims EU meat export
                                      


Ukraine's Koziatyn Poultry Farm is expecting to obtain permission to export beef and semi-finished meat products to the EU, said association Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club.

 

The Koziatyn Poultry Farm, which specialises in the production of beef and semi-finished meat products, plans to become one of the first Ukrainian companies of this operating profile to the EU market, the association stated.

 

Entry into the EU market is part of Koziatyn Poultry Farm's output expansion plan. As part of the plan, the farm is preparing for preliminary inspection of its production facilities by EU specialists in the second quarter of 2009.

 

The HACCP and ISO 9001-2001 systems have been introduced at the farm and its operations are based on EU quality and safety standards, according to the poultry farm's Deputy Board Chairman Mykola Rud.

 

Olena Sviatkivska with the association said export of Ukrainian beef to the EU could increase investment into the beef sector and boost domestic production.
