New Delhi statutory corporation to establish 107 poultry projects
The National Cooperative Development Corporation, New Delhi with the coordination of Central Cooperative bank has decided to establish 107 poultry projects in the Kashmir Valley.
The bank will provide a loan of INR15.15 crore (US$3.4 million) for the purpose. This was stated during an awareness camp at Rajbagh organised by Central Cooperative Bank. The camp was presided over by Registrar Cooperatives, G.N. Sofi. A large number of members of poultry cooperative societies and officers of Cooperative Bank attended the camp.
On the occasion, Registrar Cooperatives said that 29 poultry cooperative societies have been sanctioned, out of which eight have started production and are producing eight lakh poultry birds annually.
