Press Release

Mavitec B.V., a worldwide specialist when it comes to systems for processing slaughter by-products into valuable proteins and fats, goes green.

With their new department Mavitec Green Energy B.V. they not only expand their expertise and range of products, but also their work field. The new department is specialised in designing and producing food recycling systems, which processes organic (co-)product streams and makes products suitable for biogas installations. At VIV 2010, April 20 - 22 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht, The Netherlands, Mavitec B.V. presents their new green range of products and activities. VIV Visitors can actually see the T-pump, a self developed system for processing vicious material like slurries and shop return material.

For Maco van Heumen, Managing Director of Mavitec BV, green energy is a logical expanding of their activities. Van Heumen said, "Our core business is the supply of equipment for the rendering industry, we develop and implement complete installations for companies all over the world. Thanks to these installations slaughter by-products are used as valuable sources for all kind of different purposes. With the Green Energy department we broadened our re-use perspective and can also offer the possibility to make use of products which for example are out of date supermarket products or recall products of food processors. In many cases these product flows are cost increasing by incinerating or land filling activities, while these product flows, by proper recycling, can work as cost reducing activity and not to forget the marketing effect on the end users. For the recycling of these product flows, we developed several machineries which can separate the non-organic from the organic products which are highly suitable for alternative energy sources."

At VIV 2010, Mavitec Green Energy will show the audience their self-developed T-pump. The T-pump can process up to 20 tonnes of raw material, like products which return from shops or slurries. In addition to the T-pump the company also developed the Shop Return Press; for separations of organic and non-organic materials. The Martinater 500 & 700 grinds shop and restaurant returns and any other food products suitable for recycling and/or biogas additives.

Mavitec offers their customers a complete package of services, machineries and knowledge. Van Heumen said, "We can engineer, manufacture, install and service complete production lines and support our clients thereby from A to Z. Green energy in a correct way has an unlimited future and with our expertise and knowledge we as partner can come to a solution how you can use and treat your by-products or rest material in the most efficient way.
