Antique, Philippines livestock facility inaugurated to serve as venue for trading farm animals

The local government of San Remigio in Antique, the Philippines, inaugurated its ₱2.5 million (US$43,893) livestock facility on April 2, which will serve as a venue for trading farm animals.
"Farmers from our town before had to bring their livestock to Sibalom for them to be able to sell to the traders," Mayor Margarito Mission Jr. said in an interview.
He said the new facility will allow farmers to save on transportation or hauling costs of around ₱1,000 (US$17.56).
"It is also near the town marketplace and easily accessible for the farmers and traders," Mission added.
