China lysine prices slide amid light trade

Lysine prices stayed weak during the week ending April 1.

Trade was light as feed producers, who limited output of hog feed, were reluctant to place orders for lysine. Even though hog prices rebounded strongly from low levels, sales of feed remained weak amid low hog inventories.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine dropped to the range of RMB4.40-4.50/kg.
