China Live Hog Weekly: Strengthened demand, low supply underpin prices (week ended Mar 22, 2019)
The quantity of finishing hog remained limited, albeit rising over the week. Pork carcass volumes of major wholesale centres increased 1% to 8,071 tonnes, while prices surged 4.6% to RMB20.65/kg amid supply shortages.
