Meyer Natural Angus to purchase organic beef business of Coleman Natural Foods

Meyer Natural Angus announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the natural and organic beef business of Coleman Natural Foods LLC. The companies expect to conclude the transaction June 1.

The sale will allow each company to tighten its focus on strategic goals. The addition of the Coleman Natural beef business will enable Meyer Natural Angus to significantly expand its position in the rapidly growing market for premium quality natural beef. The sale will allow Coleman Natural Foods, in turn, to focus on continued strong growth in its other businesses, including natural poultry, pork and prepared foods.

Coleman Natural beef suppliers and customers can expect a seamless transition, according to Meyer officials.
