China discovers African swine fever among smuggled piglets

China said African swine fever (ASF) was discovered among piglets, which were illegally transported to Inner Mongolia, reported Reuters.

The latest ASF outbreak in the country was found in a herd of 200 piglets on a farm at Ordos city. The outbreak killed 92 swine.

China has reported a number of new ASF cases in the country in March.
