Georgia's Koda plans to resume poultry meat production
Koda, poultry meat and egg manufacturer in Georgia, plans to resume poultry meat production in October 2010.
Koda will complete the plant reorganisation in October 2010 and the company will be able to produce 1500 tonnes of poultry meat a year, Kakha Megrelishvili, commercial director for Koda said.
The Koda management will focus on production of frozen poultry meat. The company plans to implement the project thanks to a Cartu Bank loan of US$3 million. As reported, Koda suspended poultry meat production several months ago.
The Koda management has launched negotiations with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to draw supplementary investments.
