BASF has increased globally the price for calcium D-pantothenate (Lutavit Calpan) products for animal nutrition as of April 1, 2009, respectively in line with existing commitments to minimum EUR6.50 (US$8.50) per kg for full container loads FCA Ludwigshafen (Incoterms 2000).

This price increase is necessary to be able to continuously supply customers with Lutavit Calpan products and services of highest quality.

Calcium D-pantothenate is a salt of pantothenic acid, a vitamin, which is used in animal and human nutrition. BASF's plant for the production of calcium D-pantothenate is located in Ludwigshafen.
