Cuba, Venezuela progress in fishing industry deal
Experts from Cuba and Venezuela in the fields of aquaculture and fishing, step forward regarding the two countries' three joint cooperation projects underway in Venezuela.
The president of the Socialist Institute for Fishing and Aquaculture (Insopesca), Gilberto Gimenez, talked about the purposes of these projects, and mentioned that Inospesca is building a lab for breeding the Litopenaeus schmitti shrimp, in the state of Anzoategui, for boosting the production of shrimp in the country.
Gimenez noted that, with the help of Cuban experts, they are reinforcing the official controls in the whole chain of production of bivalve mollusks like oysters, clams, and mussels.
