UK dairy co-op ends production of Fole Dairy
The Dairy Farmers of Britain (DFB) has halted the production of Fole Dairy on Friday (Mar 27), bringing the site's imminent closure a step forward.
The site, which employed hundreds of workers, has been placed on the market to look for a new tenant to replace DFB.
Company spokesman said the dairy would remain open with a small workforce while the site is decommissioned.
A total of 246 jobs will be eliminated.
