US removes anti-dumping rate on Vietnam's catfish exporter
The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has recently given an anti-dumping duty of zero percent to Ho Chi Minh City's QVD Food Company for its frozen tra catfish fillets.
The rate was given in the department's third administrative review of antidumping duties, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).
VASEP added that the DOC also accepted QVDs anti-dumping bond amount of 0 percent in the fourth administrative review.
The duty rates and bond amounts are to take effect in the next few days.
In December 2007 DOC required QVD to pay an anti-dumping duty rate of 14.59 percent for its frozen tra catfish shipments.
The recent decision has been a major shift from the December 2007 ruling, which the company said would help it direct finances for development projects.
