Taiwan recognises Paraguay as ASF-free

Paraguay was recognised on March 15 as a country free of African swine fever (ASF) by Taiwan's  Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine (BAPHIQ).

The latter is responsible for plant and animal health in the country.

The recognition ratifies the commitment to strengthen animal health and product safety, with the support of the public and private sectors working together, thus achieving greater competitiveness in increasingly demanding markets.
