Thailand, South Korea feed association sign MoU at VICTAM Asia 2018
The Thai Feed Mill Association (TFMA) and Korea Feed Ingredients Association (KFIA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Bangkok, Thailand, during VICTAM Asia 2018.
The MoU, which concerns trade and information exchange regarding feed and feed ingredients between Thailand and South Korea, represents a big step for both associations to begin a new trade gateway that would provide new opportunities for their respective countries.
TFMA and KFIA first engaged each other at the VIV Asia event in Thailand last year, and had since been in continual discussions, which culminated in the MoU.
During the signing event, Pornsil Patchrintanakul, president of TFMA, and Park He Sang, president of KFIA, said that the purpose of the MoU is to "foster the development and diversification of commercial exchange and economic cooperation between the two associations."
"Both parties shall agree to identify, encourage, facilitate actions leading to the promotion of economy. This collaboration will promote the exchange of information, research and market overview (as well as) circulate commercial information and business opportunities for Thailand and South Korea," TFMA and KFIA stated.
