Vietnam's Q1 dairy product imports up 49.8%
Vietnam's January-March milk and dairy products import rose 49.8% against the same period last year to US$276 million, the General Statistics Office said on Wednesday (Mar 28).
The Southeast Asian country bought milk and dairy products worth US$105 million in March, rising from US$99 million in February.
In 2011, Vietnam's expenditures on importing dairy products increased 19.7% on year to US$848 million.
