Belarus to resow over 30% of winter rapeseed sowings
In 2010, Belarus will have to resow over 30% of winter rapeseed sowing areas, according to Mikhail Kadyrov, the First deputy general director of the scientific practical centre of agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, on March 25.
According to Kadyrov, during recent years, Belarus provides resowing of winter rapeseed areas throughout the average index of 10%. At the same time, previously, rapeseed sowings traditionally perished throughout 40-50% of sowing areas.
He declared that Vitebsk and Mogilev oblast will also resow large-scale areas of winter crops sowings.
According to information of the scientific practical centre, as of March 22, snow cover melt at fields of Brest, Grodno, the majority of Gomel and the western part of Minsk oblasts.
