Mowi's 2022 annual report now online

Mowi annoucned that it has published its 2022 annual report, which can be downloaded online.

According to the company, it is the world's largest Atlantic salmon farmer with 20% of the global market share and is ranked as number one on both market capitalisation and sustainability.

In 2022, 11,500 Mowi professionals produced of 464,000 tonnes for more than 70 markets around the world. The company has a fully integrated and third-party certified value chain from egg to plate.

Speaking about 2022, Mowi chief executive officer Ivan Vindheim said: "These achievements were only made possible by the dedication and hard work of Mowi's employees.

"The past year has highlighted that Mowi's mission to provide sustainable and healthy food to a growing world population is crucial. Leading a ‘Blue Revolution' is not easy, but we believe our unique strengths – Mowi's global presence, being fully integrated and being a front runner on innovation and research and development – will make a positive impact in the world.

"In the coming years, we expect global megatrends to continue to drive demand for salmon and we expect demand growth to outpace supply growth. With good operational performance as a backdrop, the organisation is well set to deliver on its ambitious targets over the coming years."

Harvest volume for Mowi's Scottish farming operations in 2022 was 48,374 tonnes.
