Danish swine industry delegation expands outreach to the Philippines
The Danish Pig Strategic Business Alliance has continued its engagement in Southeast Asia with a visit to the Philippines from March 20 to 25, 2025.
This follows a similar initiative in Bangkok last year and is part of a broader effort led by the Danish Embassies in Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam to promote Danish expertise in efficient and sustainable swine production.
The delegation visited Davao City and Manila, where Danish companies participated in business forums, company visits, and meetings with key players in the Philippine swine industry. The engagements aimed to strengthen business relations and explore opportunities for collaboration in the sector.
In Davao City, the delegation toured the newly AA-rated Production and Slaughter House, which adheres to high standards for meat processing. The visit provided insight into opportunities in the Mindanao region and highlighted local interest in Danish pig farming technology and solutions.
Danish companies taking part in the visit included AVS Agric, Danish Farm Design, DanBred, SundsAlfa, Spanvall, VissingAgro, and SKOV A/S. The embassies expressed appreciation to their local partners, including the Davao Chamber of Commerce.
