China's wheat imports slumped 99.4 percent on-year to 2,303 tonnes in February, the General Administration of Customs said Monday.

In the January-February period, wheat imports totaled 47,276 tonnes, down 96.1% on-year.

Soybean imports fell 25.4 percent on-year to 1.12 million tonnes in February, while they were down 16.2 percent on-year at 2.81 million tonnes in the January-February period.

China is the world's biggest importer of soybeans and gets most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina.

In February, the country also imported 148,297 tonnes of soyoil and 292,634 tonnes of palm oil, up 25.2 percent and 36.1 percent on-year, respectively.

Corn exports in February totaled 1.01 million tonnes, a more than sevenfold increase from a year earlier.

The following are tables of import and export data on China's grains, edible oils, and feed meals from Jan 1 to Feb 28 from China's General Administration of Customs.

The tables include origins of imports and destinations of exports. (All figures in metric tons unless otherwise stated.)
