Indian firm Aquaconnect invests US$4.5 million to enter aquaculture biological research and production

India-based seafood company Aquaconnect has announced its entry into aquaculture biological research and production with an investment of US$4.5 million.
The company is establishing advanced research and development (R&D) and production facilities aimed at driving innovation in aquaculture formulations, according to a statement reported by the news agency PTI.
Aquaconnect is also in discussions with leading biotech firms in the European Union and the United States to collaborate on developing formulations specifically tailored to the needs of Indian aquaculture, drawing on global research expertise.
Rajamanohar, CEO of Aquaconnect, stated that expanding into farm care biologicals is a natural progression for the company, which operates as an integrated aquaculture technology platform. He emphasized the company's commitment to investing long-term capital in pushing the boundaries of aquaculture biologicals research.
